Aghvan Vardanyan: Armenia needs a security-army, internal pan-Armenian consolidation and a decent foreign policy
1 / 2

“The security of Armenia should be ensured by Armenia, not by other state,” the deputy of the NA Armenia Faction Aghvan Vardanyan noted during the parliamentary briefings on October 10, answering the journalist’s question about how Russia will guarantee the security of Armenia. According to the deputy, we should solve our problem by uniting our forces. Three factors are needed for that: security-army, internal pan-Armenian consolidation and a decent foreign policy.

The deputy reminded that the Armenian authorities said that the borders of Armenia are a red line, and if that is the case, why do they not demand to leave Armenia and then start the negotiations?

In response to the journalist’s question how long they will continue to boycott the NA sittings, Aghvan Vardanyan said that they will come to the National Assembly with their agenda, and it will be when they will see its effectiveness for real. “The purpose remains the same, I have already said, it is darkest before dawn, it cannot continue like this, there will be a solution,” he underlined. Referring to the recent election of the CEC Chairman, the deputy noted that even if the opposition members asked the candidate questions and made speeches, the result would have been the same.
